How to start a blog? Very simple, with Blogger or Wordpress

That was a straightforward answer. You can start a free blog in blogger.com or wordpress.com. However, ensure that you know what you want to blog.

Considering that, you know how to express in writing, and that you can write about which interests you, it only takes less than 5 minutes to start a blog.

If you are still wondering, “What is a blog” then head straight to Wikipedia.org, the only website with elaborate information.

Sign in with blogger.com or wordpress.com with your email address and start fiddling with the options available. If you are brand-new to blogging, do not settle to one platform. Start publishing in both the platforms until you understand which is better for you. By the way, both are popular.

To make things smoother, create two articles. Below topics may be easier for you to start with.

1. Write about your business, academics, or anything that interests you.

2. Write about yourself or about your blog.

1. Sign-up into blogger.com or wordpress.com with your email address.

2. Give a sub-domain name like yourname.blogspot.in or yourname.wordpress.com (note: yourname can be any available name you choose).  

3. When prompted to select a theme, select any theme you like. You can change the themes later.  

4. Click on “Post”, in the title field, type in the title of the article. Just below it, in the bigger field, copy and paste the article and click on publish.

5. Create a page and name it “about”. The article about yourself or your blog goes here. Publish!

If you are done with the above steps without any hassles, you have successfully created a free blog and published it as well. To get used to it, publish some ten or fifteen articles within a span of two weeks.

Note: There is no investment required for a free blog.  

Do not try to learn everything in one day. Take your time and try to understand the pros and cons of both the blogging platform and find out that is suitable for you. Making money by blogging is possible but too early to talk about.

Every blog, be it in blogger.com or wordpress.com, will have a “comment” section. The visitors to your blog will comment here and you can reply to it.
